Measure the room

Leave at least 24″ on the sides you enter and exit. Add space for nightstands (typically 22–28″ wide).

Think about doorways

Our mattresses arrive compressed in a box, so tight hallways and stairs aren't a problem.

Plan for a base

Adjustable bases and platforms can add 6–15″ of height — factor that in for headboards and windows.
